Oh that was John!

A Story from Louise Ellis

I was a teenager when I came to meet the Schelter family. John was my bestie Bonnie's older brother. And he was a character. Often straight faced as he jokingly asked "who are you and why are you here". On one occasion, at a large Schelter gathering I came out of the house to see my car GONE!!! Panic arose as I came back into the house on Hawkesville Rd. I believe it was Auntie Marg and Auntie Lucie who gave it away with a smile and giggle. All tye while John nearby with a stoic face. Turned out John quietly took my keys -hung at the back door-- and move my car way down the cul-de-sac. John was that person. Mischievous and fun loving, jokingly serious. It is hard to think of the Schelter 3--John, Julie and Bonnie Mae -without brother John. Life goes so fast. Sending love and blessings to John, Sheryl and Melissa.
